Lintao Zheng possesses extensive experience in dispute resolution. He has represented numerous large state-owned enterprises, financial institutions, listed companies, investment firms, and other entities in hundreds of civil and commercial disputes and enforcement cases before the PRC Supreme People’s Court, various high and local courts, as well as arbitration institutions, such as the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and the Beijing Arbitration Commission. With his rich case-handling experience, exceptional professional skills, and dedicated service attitude, Lintao Zheng is able to quickly grasp the key issue and develop practical solutions tailored to the client’s needs. Lintao Zheng's experience includes, inter alia, representing:

  • An investment company in a series of enforcement appeal cases before the Supreme People’s Court and securing favorable outcome in all cases. The Supreme People’s Court, after deliberation, issued an enforcement ruling that ended the dispute over the applicability of the Minutes of the Symposium on Hearing Cases concerning the Transfer of Financial Non-Performing Loans (Hainan Minutes), which has significant guiding implications for the disposal of non-performing loans.
  • An investment fund in multiple investment and equity disputes against a famous listed company, securing favorable judgment involving over RMB 2 billion and recovering major investment funds and benefits through enforcement proceedings.
  • A subsidiary of a renowned airline in a contractual dispute and successfully applying for asset preservation measures on a large aircraft. This case was recognized as the " First Case of Seizing Aircraft" and selected as one of the Top 10 Cases of Beijing Courts.
  • A syndicate of renowned commericial banks in both overseas arbitration proceedings and domestic court litigation proceedings, with an amount in dispute of up to RMB 800 million, and successfully obtaining favorable arbitral awards and judgments. This case marks the first cross-jurisdictional syndicated loan dispute in mainland China involving both offshore arbitration and onshore litigation, It encompasses complex legal relationships including syndicated loan and insurance claims, as well as the coordination between domestic and foreign judicial procedures, providing a key reference for future similar cases.
  • An investment company in a contractual dispute involving over RMB 700 million against an privately owned enterprise and its controlling shareholders, settling the dispute through asset preservation.
  • An investment company in court proceedings and enforcement procedures, realizing the full amount of creditor's rights over RMB 300 million through the disposal of the opposing party's real estate.
  • A commercial bank in a financial loan contract dispute involving criminal-civil cross-over issues before the Supreme People’s Court, obtained a favorable judgment and successfully recovering over RMB 200 million.
  • A financial institution in a notarized debt instrument enforcement case, recovering the full amount of principal and interest, totaling over RMB 300 million.
  • A financial institution in a large-scale investor compensation dispute, which proceeded through first-instance trial, appellate proceedings, and retrial ultimately achieved a final judgement with all claims of the opposing party dismissed.
  • A creditor in filing a subrogation action, following the termination of enforcement proceedings due to non-recoverable assets, and then completed the entire process—from filing and case registration, asset preservation, and settlement—within a short period of no more than five months, successfully recovering approximately RMB 30 million for the client.

Lintao Zheng also has rich experience in non-performing loan disposal, debt restructuring, and corporate liquidation/bankruptcy. He has represented many creditors or debtors in applying for liquidation and reorganization proceedings, and represented creditors in debt claims and court proceedings. He also advised shareholders and investors on asset allocation, debt repayment plans, and legal compliance, ensuring clients make informed decisions while adhering to legal regulations.

Work Experience

Lintao Zheng joined Global Law Office in 2014. Prior to that, Lintao Zheng worked in a Beijing court as a presiding judge in civil and commercial trials and enforcement work, where he handled over 2,000 cases (including high-value and complex disputes) and received multiple awards. He is highly proficient in litigation strategies and enforcement proceedings, and demonstrates keen judgement in evidence analysis and law application.
