Vincent Wang is a law partner of the firm working in its Shanghai Office.  Vincent focuses his practices working on multinational businesses and cross-border transactions in a broad-spectrum of industries. Vincent is particularly skillful at providing innovative legal solution and compliance advice for clients whose businesses involve the Internet and data, covering the application of high-tech products, the design of new business model implementation, the aggregation and application of business data, the deployment and application of artificial intelligence, new business of data platforms, data protection compliance, data asset entry and transaction business.

 

In his main areas of practice, Vincent has represented several Fortune 500 multinational and many Chinese private companies.  He frequently advised clients on cybersecurity and data protection system construction, data retention and inventory, data transaction, data product design and licensing, cross-border data flow, Internet platform business operation, artificial intelligence and Internet of Things application, science and technology ethics and social responsibility, national security and export control, etc.   In addition to the above, Vincent also assists clients in management of cross-border dispute resolutions or serving as expert witness on PRC law issues in the above areas.

 

In serving the clients, Vincent is familiar with the differences between foreign and Chinese parties and can effectively and efficiently set the proper expectation and smooth out the communication of the parties.  He is particularly good at making complicated legal issues clear and simple and is creative to offer practical and use-friendly solutions.

Work Experience

Vincent started his practice from 1998. Before joining Global, he had worked for the Seattle base law firm, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, for 18 years and was a law partner in that firm.
