Yibing Zhou specializes in intellectual property (IP) and commercial dispute resolution. Since 2005, Yibing has been working at law firms, providing domestic and overseas clients with legal services on a variety of legal issues regarding IP and dispute resolution. Yibing has rich experience on IP prosecution and management and IP-related dispute resolution.
Yibing is skilled to resolve IP disputes and design IP protection strategies for her clients by a comprehensive vision about commercial and legal factors in each case. Yibing, assisting a large state-owned company, successfully and effectively resolved an IP-related joint venture dispute with its foreign partner; representing a luxury company, won a trademark litigation with punitive damage awarded and thereafter assisted her client to radically resolve trademark squatting issues that the client could not resolve through other proceedings relying on the favorable judgement; representing a renowned baby food company, successfully convinced the Supreme Court to reopen their trademark infringement and unfair competition case against an infringer; assisting a Chinese manufacturer, responded in a litigation in US and convinced the judges to dismiss the plaintiff’s motion; representing a famous British writer and a US movie company, successfully resolved copyright infringement issues in China.
Apart from dispute resolution, Yibing also provides domestic and overseas clients with legal services in relation to IP compliance, prosecution, enforcement and contract in various sectors, such as chemistry, software, food, cosmetics, media, education and publishing. Yibing has been invited to deliver training and lectures regarding China IP practice by companies and European IP organizations.
