In September 2013, Global's Shanghai office has officially been certified as "Shanghai Key Entities Delivering International Professional Services (Legal)" jointly by Shanghai Municipal Commission of Commerce and Shanghai Justice Bureau with a valid term for three years.

The election and certification of “Shanghai Key Entities Delivering International Professional Services (Legal)” commenced from 2010 and purported to (i) drive the development of professional services in Shanghai; (ii) encourage the legal service institutions (such as law firms) to expand the international communication and cooperation; and (iii) promote the establishment of Shanghai as an international trading center. All certified law firms shall meet certain requirements, including (i) being engaged by foreign clients on a regular basis (ii) providing foreign-related legal services; and (iii) holding a leading position in the market in terms of the annul revenues.
