Xiusong XING elected vice chairman: ICC CN arbitration committee

On May 17th, 2017, the arbitration committee of the International Chamber of Commerce China (ICC China) held its first bi-annual working conference. With approximately 50 delegates from member organizations present, Global Law Office’s partner Xiusong XING was elected vice chairman.

 

The China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) was established under the approval of the State Department as a national organization purposed to facilitate cross-border communication, articulate interests of the commerce and industry sector of China, enact and promote rules of international economics and trade, and advocate the cause of public welfare. It consists of enterprises and groups involved in international commercial activities. It is commonly referred to as ICC China in ICC-related affairs.

 

The ICC arbitration committee is a leading arbitral institution; it sets and reviews rules governing dispute resolution including arbitral rules of the international chamber and non-litigation solutions, formulates efficient solutions, and publishes relevant laws, procedural and practical guidelines.

 

Mr. Xiusong XING advises foreign and Chinese clients for transactions and disputes in relation to Chinese-foreign joint ventures, foreign direct investment in China, construction projects, technology transfer and license agreements, trademark licensing, manufacturing and distribution agreements, loan agreements and project finance, international sale of goods, anti-monopoly and unfair competition, etc., by means of negotiation, mediation, adjudication, arbitration and litigation.

 

He has represented clients in over 100 cases of arbitration proceedings before international arbitration institutions, including the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC); the Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce (SCC), the ICC Court of International Arbitration (ICC), the American Arbitration Association (AAA), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (HKIAC), the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) and the Japan Commercial Arbitration Association (JCAA), and served as an arbitrator in over 100 cases of international arbitration proceedings at CIETAC, ICC, SCC, and in ad hoc arbitration proceedings.
