Hemin Zhou is a partner based in our Shanghai office. His practices cover International Trade & Customs, Corporate, Intellectual Property, Capital Market as well as Litigation and Arbitration.

Engagement in teaching and research on Customs laws for more than a decade enriches Hemin Zhou with intensive expertise and experience in Customs laws. Hemin Zhou has provided many multinational companies, listed companies and local enterprises with legal services regarding customs declaration, import & export tariff and VAT (customs classification, valuation and Rule of Origin), business model, processing trade, plant relocation and customs IP protection. Hemin Zhou has also provided helpful legal opinions to several clients when facing customs inspection or investigation and acted as a defender in criminal cases suspected of smuggling.

Hemin Zhou works with several large-scale foreign invested enterprises and local companies as an in-house counsel, providing them with general corporate including employment and IP. As to the capital market, Hemin Zhou has represented a renowned Taiwan-funded enterprise leading its project financing. He also has a good legal command of the inter-bank bond market.

· Prior to joining GLO in 2018, Hemin Zhou worked in Haoliwen Partners (Haoliwen has consolidated its business into Gloabl Law Office as from September 1, 2018).
