Alice has dealt with many data compliance projects in near 100 countries (China, EU, US, UK, India, Brazil, Singapore, UAE, Canada, Australia, Japan, South Korea, South-East Asian Countries, New Zealand, Nigeria, etc.) for global Chinese enterprises. Including having provided cross-border data transfer and offshore business solutions for large EV companies, high-tech manufacturing companies and many internet companies, covering tens of countries in the US, EU and Southeast Asia. Alice has assisted her clients in properly responding to investigations and enforcement actions by overseas regulators and law enforcement agencies to retrieve data, and avoiding the risk of data compliance.
Alice specialises in cross-border transactions, M&A, and post-investment management in the fields of internet, TMT, AI, high-end manufacturing, education and entertainment, etc. She has provided legal services in investment, financing and compliance for many industry-leading tech companies, and has invested in tens of high-tech companies, such as Uber, DiDi, Meituan, etc., in which single project investment amount exceeding USD 200 million. In the area of real estate investment, on behalf of Chinese investors, Alice has completed the acquisition and syndicated loan projects of skyscraper office buildings across the United States including but not limited to 245 Park Avenue and 850 Third Avenue, NYC,181 West Madison Avenue, Chicago, 33 South 6th Street, Minneapolis and 123 Mission Street, San Francisco, in which the highest single transaction amount reached US$2.3 billion, and the total transaction amount exceeded US$4.5 billion.
In the area of regulatory response, Alice is experienced in assisting clients to deal with inquiries from US Congress, CFIUS (Committee on Foreign Investment in the U.S.) and securities regulators (FINMA (Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority) and SEC, etc.) in relation to the M&A and investment in US, Europe and China.
In addition, Alice has extensive experience in Chinese enterprises globalization and has provided legal advice and one-stop comprehensive solutions for a number of Chinese manufacturing enterprises to invest abroad and set up business in Asia-Pacific, Europe, North and South America, and other countries and regions.
