The newly joined partners are Philip (Feng) Zhang, Tony (Mingshi) Zhang based in Shanghai office, and Vincent (Haojia) Zhuang based in Shenzhen office.
The merge of the 3 new partners and their teams has further enhanced GLO’s expertise capabilities in capital markets, corporate / merger & acquisition, private equity & investment funds, debt restructuring & corporate liquidation / bankruptcy, compliance & risk control, real estate and construction, energy & mining, and labor & employment.

Shanghai Office
Philip (Feng) Zhang | Partner

Dr. Zhang joined GLO as a partner based in Shanghai office. He specialises in corporate and M&A, merger control filing, issuing of bonds in and outside China markets, private funds and private equity. Since joining private practice in 2006, Dr. Zhang has provided services to a wide range of well-known multinationals and Chinese clients, including those of Fortune 500 and SMEs in such industries as manufacturing, real estate, retail, energy and education. Most of his clients are leading businesses in China or international markets. Over the past 10 years, Dr. Zhang successfully advised on more than 300 investment projects (such as FDI and M&A), over 20 merger control filings, and the issuing of corporate bonds of more than RMB100 billions (or its equivalency in other currencies). In addition, as long term outside counsel to his clients, he has successfully dealt with many legal issues regarding corporate restructuring and liquidation, compliance, commercial agreements and employment matters. Prior to joining GLO, Mr. Zhang was a partner of two other Chinese law firms from 2006 to 2020 respectively and served as General Counsel and Compliance Officer of Greater China for three Swiss multinationals (i.e. Ciba-Geigy, Novartis and Ciba Specialty Chemicals) from 1993 to 2006. Prior to that he worked at the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development and at a law firm in Geneva.
Tony (Mingshi) Zhang | Partner

Mr. Zhang joined GLO as a partner based in Shanghai office. He specialises in corporate and M&A, merger control filing, issuing of bonds in and outside China markets, employment matters. Mr. Zhang has provided services to a wide range of well-known multinationals and Chinese clients, including those of Fortune 500 and SMEs in such industries as manufacturing, real estate, retail and energy. Most of his clients are leaders of their businesses in China or international markets. Mr. Zhang successfully counseled on many investment projects (such as FDI and M&A), merger control filings, and the issuing of corporate bonds. In addition, as long term outside counsel to his clients, he has successfully dealt with many legal issues regarding corporate restructuring and liquidation, compliance, commercial agreements and employment matters. Prior to joining GLO, Mr. Zhang was counsel/senior associate at a leading Chinese law firm from 2014 to 2020, prior to that was a legal consultant at the Shanghai office of a German law firm from 2006 to 2014. In addition, he had been seconded as senior legal counsel to a multinational company headquartered in Switzerland during the period of October 2015 until March 2016.

Vincent (Haojia) Zhuang | Partner

Mr. Zhuang joined GLO as a partner based in Shenzhen office. He specialises in mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment & financing as well as capital markets related matters. He has represented various clients from a wide range of industries, including biomedicine, medical equipment, Internet of Things, real estate, new energy, automobiles, smart manufacturing, semiconductor, entertainment. Mr. Zhuang has led and engaged in a number of projects in the field of A-share IPO, acquisition, strategic investment of public companies, major asset restructuring, refinancing, and bond issuance of public companies. In the field of overseas refinancing and full circulation of H-share enterprises, Mr. Zhuang has rich experience as well. Prior to joining GLO, Mr. Zhuang used to work in a leading Chinese law firm.
