Jacky (Jiajie) Li is a partner at Global Law Office, based in Shanghai. He is an attorney-at-law in the PRC and California, US, and is a US ACFE certified fraud examiner and a contributing expert for the United Kingdom’s The Law Reviews. He mainly focuses on regulatory compliance, corporate and government investigations, dispute resolution and litigation, healthcare and life sciences.
Jacky Li has practised in regulatory compliance for more than 15 years and has extensive experience. He is well versed in conducting various types of internal investigations and dealing with government investigations, in connection with anti-corruption (including US FCPA), anti-monopoly and anti-money laundering matters, white-collar crime, cybersecurity and data compliance. He provides a full range of legal and compliance services to many large multinational companies, and state-owned and privately owned enterprises, and he has represented companies in dealings with cross-jurisdictional government authorities.
In addition, Jacky Li has been publishing over 10 academic journals and more than 50 articles to support the development of the industry. Notably, Jacky Li was invited by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Commercial Legal Service Center and China Pharmaceutical Industry Association in 2022 as an expert to draft and edit the Guidance Books for Corporate Compliance Practitioner Professional Training and Pharmaceutical Industry Compliance Management Practice, introducing practical guidelines on dealing with internal and external compliance & regulatory investigations for China compliance officers, making the industry’s first. He also serves as a standing member of the Law and Compliance Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association and a director of the Association of China Compliance Professionals (ACCP). Jacky Li lectures on law and compliance-related practice courses for postgraduates.
Prior to joining Global Law Office, Jacky Li worked at the legal affairs department of the Shanghai Municipal Public Security Bureau, where he obtained extensive judicial experience and practical first-hand knowledge of criminal investigations and administrative enforcement as well as formulation of regulations and policies. Jacky Li also worked at a renowned US law firm in cross-border compliance practice.
