Linna Zhai has extensive experience in invalidation of patent re examination, with a particular focus on patent invalidation, re examination, patent administrative litigation, and infringement litigation. The clients and projects we serve mainly include: patent invalidation cases and administrative lawsuits of Beijing Tianxiang Yeshao Medical Equipment Co., Ltd., administrative lawsuits for re examination of Chenguang Biotechnology Co., Ltd., necessary patent license negotiations for Shenzhen Jiangbolong Standard, patent invalidation series cases of Shenzhen Jundingda Company, patent invalidation series cases of Dingyang Company, and patent invalidation series cases and administrative lawsuits initiated by Smith Company against Midea Company, And participated in litigation related to standard essential patents in the field of communication.

Linna Zhai has also participated in and hosted various intellectual property non litigation businesses, including providing intellectual property strategic planning and management for enterprises or investment institutions, specialized intellectual property services for enterprise listing, intellectual property due diligence, FTO and infringement analysis, intellectual property license transfer negotiations and transactions, etc.

Before joining Global Law Office, Linna Zhai had more than 15 years of work experience in the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and successively engaged in the substantive examination, re examination and invalidation examination of invention patents in relevant fields in the Optoelectronic Technology Invention Examination Department, the Optoelectronic Appeals Division of the Patent Reexamination Board, the Intelligent Manufacturing Division, etc. The technical fields examined mainly include navigation, electrical measurement, control, voice, optics, intelligent manufacturing, medical devices, etc. Linna Zhai has been serving as the leader of the invalidity review panel since 2016 and has hosted the following invalidity cases:

• Trial of Apple and Qualcomm Voice Series Cases
• Gree Air Conditioning and AUX Air Conditioning won a patent war worth 100 million yuan, and the patent invalidation case was heard
• Shenzhen Guangfeng Technology Co., Ltd. has tried multiple invalid cases (which have a significant impact on the core business of related enterprises)
• Trial of invalid left atrial appendage occluder case by Xianjian Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (the patent was selected for the 22nd China Patent Gold Award in 2021)

One case decision written by Linna Zhai was rated as a typical case in 2019 by the Department of Reexamination and Invalidation of the China National Intellectual Property Administration, and three case decisions were rated as outstanding cases in 2016 and 2019 by the China National Intellectual Property Administration.

Since engaging in patent re examination invalidation work, Linna Zhai has tried more than 300 invalid cases and re examined more than 500 cases. Every year, she has completed the examination tasks with high quality and participated in more than 100 litigation cases.

Graduated from Hebei University of Technology in 2006 with a Master's degree in Engineering

Linna Zhai has published multiple case analysis and research articles in the China Intellectual Property Daily, and participated in the compilation of the national higher vocational education planning textbook "Virtual Instrument Technology".
