Ruby Shao has advised issuers and underwriters in a number of significant initial public offerings and debt offerings on the HKEX, the Singapore Exchange, NYSE, NASDAQ, Toronto Stock Exchange as well as China domestic stock exchanges, including the security offering by China Film Co., Ltd(SH: 600977), China Vanke Co., Ltd.,(SEHK: 02202), Linekong(SEHK: 08267) and the debt offering by China Resources Land, Road King Infrastructure and Lai Fung Holdings. The industries involved include consumer goods, real estate, education, high technology, energy, resources, Internet, telecommunications, manufacturing, commercial retail, media, infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and healthcare, etc.

 

Ruby Shao has also been involved in numerous merger and acquisition projects, such as ByteDance’s Acquisition of Moonton Technology, China Resources Group's acquisition of pharmaceutical assets with a combined value of more than CNY50 billion (involving four A-share listed companies and more than 50 unlisted enterprises) with Beijing Municipality; Arthrosi Therapeutics’ setup of JV with Yipinhong (SZ:300723), acquisition of Focus-X Therapeutics by Full-Life Technologies, China Resources Group's acquisition of Zhenzhou Gas; China Resources Enterprise’s acquisition of Pacific Coffee; Dalian Port’s (SH:601880) acquisition of certain shares of Jinzhou Ports(SH: 600190); Value Partners’ acquisition of certain shares of Goldstate Fund Management Co., Ltd. etc.

 

In the field of private equity investment and fund formation, Ruby Shao has represented New Horizon Fund in investing in Jidong Cement, Wangfujing Department Store; represented Macquarie Capital in the investment of Ganji; represented Finery Capita in investment of New China Life Insurance, Yunnan Water. In addition, Ruby Shao also represented Finery Capital, Real Power, Olympus Capital in fund formation of RMB Funds and represented Samsung Venture in investments in a USD Fund.

Work Experience

Ruby Shao joined Global Law Office in 2009.  From 2015 to 2020, she worked for Gaorong Capital, Before Join Global Law Office, she worked in a leading law firm in Singapore, engaging in capital market and investment business.
